12:30pm-1:00pm “Healing is a Process”: This class will explore the process of healing. Many believe that healing happens immediately. It does for some but for most of us it is a process. What does that process entail? What can you expect in this process? What should you avoid in this process?
1:00pm-1:30pm “When Loving You is Hurting Me”: This class will discuss how to love in a healthy way. We often think that uncvonditional love means self-sacrifice. The truth is that unconditional love should never cause you to lose who you are. Loving someone does not mean become their to the point of emotional exhausting and depletion, that is not love. It is a toxic codependent relationship. How do we learn to love? What are the warning signs of a toxic relationship? How can we avoid codependence? How do we establish appropriate boundaries?
1:30pm-2:00pm “What Does It Mean to be Whole”: The term whole has become popular in church but what does it really mean to be whole? Who are you? What is your purpose? When we say that we are whole, does that mean that we will never have insecurities? Does reaching a place of wholeness mean that we no longer struggle with doubt? Does wholeness mean perfection? Can we be whole and still need the companionship of others?
2:00pm-2:30pm “Teach Me How To Love You”: The phrase “I love you” is freely exchanged between individuals but we must learn how to love people in our lives. We often love others the way we want to be loved and find that it is not effective. So often we become disillusioned when people fail to love us. How do we teach others how to love us? How do we learn how to understand the love language of the people in our lives? In order for us to feel loved, we must teach others how to love us. We cannot do that, however, if we don’t love God and ourselves first.
