The HURs who hold up the arms of Bright Star church
Hello all,
I cannot express enough how important the Volunteer Ministry is at Bright Star. I personally believe the Lord pays "extra dividends" to those who serve the in the Kingdom with a willing heart. It certainly takes a "special person" to know they to are King's Kids, but desire to serve others while they too should be served!
I take this posture as often as I can because I know it pleases the Lord! Scripture says "he that is greatest among you is servant of all."
Bright Star C.O.G.I.C. has various events throughout the year to serve our community and we would love your help.
Here at Bright Star volunteers matter. We want to match your skills to the appropriate project to maximize your potential. Some projects/events require little to no skill at all, we may simply need helping hands to get the job done.
Your volunteer hours are recorded in our database, so that they can be used later if you need them for community service hours served for your school or job.
Upcoming Events:
March 14th & 18th: Bright Star 54th Church Anniversary
April 27-29: Women's Conference
July 30 - Aug 4: Bronzeville Family Fest

I volunteer for a number of reasons: 1. I enjoy serving the community and church 2. Every organization no matter how big or small could use help i.e volunteers 2. It's a fun way to fellowship and meet other people 3. It's also a way to stay informed and attend events I would otherwise not know about!
Have a great day,
